If I request a recheck ..can I still use the result in express entry? Or I have to wait until the decision is made

My scores are L9/R8.5/W7/S7.5
Is it worth it if I want to do a remark? Only 3 points will be added to my crs if they changed my writing score to 7.5

Depends on your CRS. In my case, I am at 430 and another 3 or 6 six points can definitely help so I went for remark though results are awaited. Also, you can't use the score during the process of remark.

My results for 16 dec test - L-8, R-8, W-7, S-6.5

My hubby got - L-8.5, R-9, W-6.5,S-7.5

So disappointed with the IELTS system now as everytime we are left with .5s

It was my 7th attempt and my husband's 4th attempt...
We thinking to go ahead for revaluation... Whats the success rate for remarking and also if someone had gone through, what is the exact time they declare the new result ?

I have applied for a remark on 29th october for 14th October test Ielts Academic, in Sharjah, UAE.

My score:

Overall: 7.0

Listening: 7.5
Reading: 7.0
Writing: 7.0
Speaking: 7.0

I need a 0.5 increase in any of the modules to get an overall of 7.5.

It has been more than 8 weeks but I haven't received anything from the center so far. What to do?
Any advice would be highly appreciated.
They say it may take 8-10 weeks. So it may come by mid Jan.

hello guys i really need the opinions of yours who have made recheck (EOR) before. My results are;

L 8
R 7,5
W 6
S 7,5

I am planning to apply for recheck to increase my writing from 6 to 7. Is it possible to get 1 point increasement in EOR ? what are the parameters that they take into consideration, i mean do they look to candidate's old IELTS results and scores of other 3 modules or even how many times does he/she took the ielts before ?

Thanks in advance.

Hi folks,
My scores are L/R/W/S 8.5/8.0/6.5/7.5
Is it worth going for a remark? I need 0.5 points increase in writing. Wrote sufficient number of words, with clear content and examples, also handwriting is decent.
In the meanwhile, should I register again and give the exam? Just to be on safer side since rechecking takes long time.

Glad if you guys can give your inputs. Cheers!!

You can try for remarking, but it totally depends on your writing skills - content, vocabulary, logical flow etc. If you are confident enough then only opt for EOR as chances of increase are minimal and also involves money. Also, it would be better idea to sit another exam and simultaneously apply for revaluation if you really want to go for it. Choose wisely!

Your scores are never disclosed to the examiner who revaluates your paper. It purely depends on individual examiner and their level of understanding of your writing. There are rare cases where people got a band increase, so I would suggest you sit for another one rather than going fo rechecking.
