Hi guys!

I have been following the ROH threads since the 72nd draw. Thought it was time to join in since today my IELTS results were announced.
Overall - 8.5; Listening - 8.5, Reading - 9, Writing - 7.5, Speaking - 8.5
Still waiting for my WES report which is due on 10th Nov to enter into the pool.

Just wanted to say, I have learnt more about the whole process, pitfall and solution through this forum in the past few months than anywhere else on the net. So, a big thank you to all the contributors! :)

At the end, right before you submit, there is a Print button you can click. That takes you to a new page that automatically loads a Print dialog button. I printed all 22 pages of my application to PDF.
I must be missing the obvious. Everything from the page with the continue button, sign button, all the way to exit button only saves the page on the screen. Would you mind providing some additional assistance?

Hi There Every One,
Well a lot of things happening off lately (draw / new multi-year immigration targets released) and our ROH group going strong.
I need guidance on the issue of "Name Spelling Difference" A very common occurrence in India, I should say...and add if you are not careful.
My correct surname is PARASHAR, which is on Passport, Aadhar, Birth Certificate, Marriage Certificate, but in 10th and Graduation 2nd,3rd year marksheet and Graduation Degree certificate it is spelled as PRASHAR only letter "A" is missing between P<>R

Seniors / experts pls. guide .....How to go about it ........I'm far from ITA presently at 411 (lost 5 in Sep), but want to be prepared in Advance so that I dont have any problems Post ITA.
i have similar problem as you.

Thank you for prompt reply. Under the work history section in EE profile, there is a question 'Some jobs are regulated in Canada. You would need a license or certification to practice these jobs. Do you know if your primary occupation or trade is regulated?'

Shall I select 'Yes' or 'I Don't Know'?
Well, it depends on whether you know or not.lol

Most jobs are not regulated but some are, eg dentistry and most medical practises.

regards

@andieangel @TanakaM ....Hi Seniors, can you say what source does CIC use for fund conversion? My funds are held in local currency and I want to translate balances to ensure I meet POF requirement. I have been using the local central bank exchange rate but i'm pretty sure that CIC may be using otherwise.
Hi,

No one knows this, but I think its best to use Bank of Canada rates: http://www.bankofcanada.ca/rates/exchange/. Even then, give yourself breathing space of at least 1500 CAD as officers may use different rates.

All the best

This is without doubt 2 or more post secondary certificates....... What they said earlier does not matter. What counts is this current report.

It does not really matter as you dont need license to claim points or for application purposes. If your occupation is regulated you need to get license once you are in Canada as a PR not before it will not affect your app.

how large would the variation be anyways? use any converter, and make sure to have more than you need in funds than what's mentioned on the site. keep track of the variations as well, cad is fluctuating quite a lot these past few months
It could actually be very large. I thought I had breathing space of at least 1000 CAD but, according to GCMS notes, I only had 200CAD or so more than the minimum. So one needs to be careful.
