Wonderful news! Thanks for sharing. When you say processing started Aug 15 2016, do you mean processing at the Colombo HC?

Thanks a lot ,feeling relax atleast to hear that .still kind of tensed till they request for passport.
My time line is..
Visa office:Colombo
Application submission:June 10,2016
Processing started :Aug 15,2016
1st medical done
Correspondent sentct 18,2016
Remedical n clearance request:sep 25,2017

Hi, yes we did contact the HC and they just said it is within the normal processing time. Like @yoge said, current processing time is 20 months, and my application falls under the older system... but hopefully the long wait is almost over.

Seems like the applications are moving faster for people who applied under the revised system after Dec 2016.

i am happy that long waiting time is almost over for you and good luck.if they take 20 months for who applied before 07th december 2016 then i have to wait another 8 months. i feel so helpless.

Oh yes ,my application was sent to Colombo on that date ,I have no idea how many days they usually take for passport request,still waiting with hope for the next call ,will update soon,

Yeah it's quite tough. But hopefully with the shortened wait times maybe yours might be processed sooner too. Good luck!

Yes why they can’t understand our feelings
My wife and me in super depression.
She comport me with moral support but I am checking always ecas and gc key.
Anyhow will see what happened in next week
