Hello everyone, our application was received may 3rd. On thursday our application changed into background

somewhere between friday evening and saturday morning it changed to decision made. We never got notified about our file being transferred to a visa office.

what a brutal wait AND TEST of patience this whole process is! Getting grey hairs by now lol!! Looking at the spreadsheets for 2017, Jan to March applicants had their Background check by this time (80-90 weekdays) at NDVO but now with April and May applicants they are so far behind its crazy!! If all goes well October should be the month for April applicants at NDVO and Nov should be for May... but at this point can't predict anything. Just hoping for the best for everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Witnessing the speed of work by NDVO in September, I am even thinking that background check might go to December for May applicant.

Hey everyone,
It seems we are not the only ones waiting longer than expected! Such a hard thing to do!! We submitted our police check over 2 months ago (recieved Mexico City on Aug 1st) and have not heard anything from the CIC since. We have not even gotten confirmation that they recieved the Police Check (we only know it was delievered and signed for). Yesterday I checked the GCKey and "Review of additional documents" now says "We need more documents to continue processing your application. We will send you a message with more details." I am not sure when this acutally changed... but the CIC has not asked us for any additional documents and we are kind of getting concerned. We also requested our notes and should have them in no longer than 2 weeks. We are just wondering if anyone else has run into a similar problem with the additional documents and how long it took others to get their notes?
