Question about translation of documents.

Hello Everyone,

I have a question regarding the translation of my PCC from my country and work experience letter.

So, I translated the documents with a Certified public interpreter from my Country. He added an affidavit of accuracy of the original document as well as the phrase where he certifies that "the following is a true and faithful translation into English of the attached document". He signed and sealed the document and I added the original copy of the document to the PDF file.

So, my question is the following, being him a certified public interpreter, did I need to also use a public notary for the document? or just the way I did it was fine. I would like to know this so I go to the Notary and send it through a CSE. The problem is that for some reason in my country to Notary a document involves a time consuming process.

Hi @pomara1 you don't need to notary any of the documents. Send the translations with the documents in Spanish

en Canada no se necesita los documentos notariado ni apostillado
en el caso de los antecedentes penales, el documento que se baja de la pagina de ministerio y traduccion por un inteprete
el resto de los documentos originales con sello humedo y firma si lo tienen y traduccion
es posible enviarlo en electrónico y probablemnete te pidan los originales

entre mas simple los documentos, mejor, solo que tenga sellos y firmas es suficiente

I think they may have put my case on hold since I didn't have my US PCC with my application when I submitted it.. So, I guess I will have to wait

Different countries function differently, but if you could get it notarized, then i suggest you to do it. In Italy, for example, the translated documents need to be "notarized" in front of the court. However, in Turkey, there are public notaries.

Solo te recomiendo algo; para el caso de Venezuela ya que el antecedente no es a color, al momento de subir el original con la traducción, no incluyas la hoja que incluye el traductor junto con su trabajo y la sella como "copia"! Esto definitivamente hará confundir a los oficiales y ya que no hay mayor diferencia con el original pensara que no subsististe original. Podría ser un fail directo!

I got my documents translated by a certified public interpreter. He is certified by the minister of internal affairs and justice and has his own seal and is publicly lited in the offixial website of the venezuela gpvernment. However, he told me that they dont notarize here english translations (i didnt check if it is true).. ehat i could have done was to notiriE the doxuments in spanish. However, due to time constraints i sent them just eith the english translation and the original copy of it

Yo solo inclui la original y la traduccion e ingles del antecedente y tambien de una carta de experiencia de trabajo.. sin embargo, no las notarie. Crees que sea mucho problema?

Para nada! Para Canada no es necesario notarizar! Ya muchos amigos han pasado la prueba con el certificado policial tal cual sale de la pagina. El único caso que conozco que tuvo problema fue porque incluyo la copia que mando el traductor y le puso el sello de copia; entonces cuando adjunto el original era idéntico, migración tomo como que envío solo copias.
