We should email to immigration minister regarding inland application. It is totally unacceptable why the files have not been processed even after 16 months, we want explanation !

My friends who watched yesterday's news said that 50 visa officers (from 10 - 50) in Sydney were re-assigned to process the refugees.
Of course they would do that. Refugees are welcome, Canada is kind,...such drama..... all for the electioneering of the government. Once refugees becomes citizens, they'd vote for the refugee-favoring policies, that creates a circle of BS :mad: We're immigrants too, not richer, not better than many of those refugees, but we stand in line and LEGALLY. Where's the justice ? :(

I have just posted this petition on our Immigration minister's FB public posts. Please like it and add comments to it so they knows what we are going through due to false processing times displayed on cic website and no definite response from cic regarding our applications even after an approved PNP.
this is a good thing. hope this will help us get out of the tough period

I am so fed up with this. It is not even fair. If the government doesn't have the ability to process legal applications as fast as they used to, it means they are incapable of taking refugees! Then why are they still doing it? Even a kid should understand this but somehow leaders of a country can't?! I don't wanna assume that they have intellectual disabilities so I just have to think that they are deliberately trying to push us out of the country. Apparently to them we are not as contributive as refugees. Sad, but I don't know what else to think.

If you understand how they process refugees you will know that recent slow down has nothing to do with recent refugee issues.
When they cross the border, CBSA and RCMP comes in, then they will send to immigration refugee board for hearing, then they will come to IRCC for processing, it will be few months or years before they come to IRCC's scope.
The slow down must caused by something else.

The refugee issue started at least more than a year ago, so the a few months you were saying have passed already. Now it is IRCC's job to process them. That is why our applications get delayed. Hussen just said in August 18 news that the normal processing time for refugees is 5 months and they are going to put more people in that to speed things up, which means there will be less people processing our applications, while they have got delayed already.

The problem is the final security screening by the CBSA that due to the significant wave of the refugees, they have a large backlog. Still 2015 and early 2016 applicants are waiting for CBSA security screening. Medical results of many of us have been expired due to the delay and I think that's why they stopped issuing medical request. I have seen many applications passed 2 years.
