Hope to be of help.
Thank you for your help ivancabrer.

FYI- I have attained 8777 in LRWS and my husband has scored 12 points after giving IELTS. Even if i go applying it with my spouse the points are not exceeding beyond 415. We are lacking at my husband's education which is secondary high school. what other options do i have ?

I am pretty sure that writing will go upto 7 after rechk. Any idea about listening? It can increase after recheck or no?
I don't think it's likely to change listening. And given the difficulties people have had going from 6.5 to 7, it might be more difficult than you think to raise your writing from 6 to 7. I would practice a lot and retake if it were me.

You could Learn french and get an extra boost with the TEF. I did it in the beginning of this year and got a boost of 9 CRS points.
I got from 0 to CLB7 in 3 of the 4 categpries, in a period of only 4 months. The Speaking category I only got to CLB4, because I didn't have anyone to practice with. It is truth that, because I speak english and spanish, french was easier than it may be for people not coming from a romance tonge.
But if you take, say, 6 to 8 months, really practicing one to three hours everyday, you could get to a CLB7 in all 4 skills.

Also, do you already have a Master's degree?
You could find an online option that may be done in a year. Making sure first that it is indeed equivalent to a Canadian Master's, in the WES webpage.

And, anyway, this year I really expect the CRS to come down to 415 again. I toke the OINP route because I planned to be in Canada in January, and now it seems it will be closer to March, so I really don't want to wait longer. But I'm pretty confident that if I could wait, the CRS will reach new lowers this calendar year. There's really no reason for it not to do so.

To keep it short (or not that long :D), the thing is to make your best not to do something you could regret, like separating your family. It's really very bad for your children, and for your relationship with your partner. Maybe you decide to study, to boost the CRS, and in the meantime get a direct ITA because the scores went down in two or three months from now.

I agree. Better not to take it lightly.
Practice a ton, and then, retake the test with improved skills and confidence.

@andieangel Hello my friend.
How are you?
Decided to take a little while today to check the forum and help a little bit.
Hello dear friend @ivancabrer! You won't believe it but I was just about to post the same to you! :) I'm ok, totally surprised with the draw yesterday! I was down the whole June and July, when I thought that sure ITA was due in the beginning of June...

Now my plan for coming to Canada sometime in October-November is over and now it's more looking like March... How are you?

You have to check your degree's equivalency if it is foreign.
If it's two years course diploma or a 4 years major (bachelor's degree).

Well, I know sometimes the road gets a little rough, but one has to keep on moving towards the objectives and goals one sets for ourselves.

As for me and my wife, we decided to take the OINP route, as you can see, and we were very lucky to have registered on the last day the HCP stream was open. Now I'm waiting for a nomination, hoping for it to be by the end of this month.
Even if it costs us the additional CAD$1500, we decided to push the accelerator on this process, because I really want to be as close as possible to my original timeframe. And, even if many, many, things don't depend on us, me and my wife, we try to really make the best out of the things that do depend on our decisions.

Anyways, even if I'm very low on time sometimes, if I can help someone, I will absolutely try to. This forum is an oasis in the desert and the ones of us that walk a road first must try to show the others.

I also wish you all the luck and good fortune my friend.
And remember that what's important is to be flexible and adapt to the changes. In this process and in life in general.

Hey Jojo :) I got bit consumed with my father being hospitalized. He's doing much better now, thankfully. What happened to xty? I only got to know about the draw late late last evening when @lino82 sent me a PM. My IELTS result is due tomorrow. Oh God please CLB 9 this time lol
Oh sorry about that. Good to know he feels a lot better. All the best in your result.

Good day seniors, I would like to know if a MARRIED lady can apply as SINGLE with two kids accompanying her. There's no document showing change of name to her husband's name, just a marriage certificate from the court. Is this safe to do since there's no document of hers in her husband's name? Your advice is well appreciated
Concealing facts about your marital status from immigration authorities will be seen as misrepresentation and may lead to a ban.

Be sensible, be safe.

Good luck.
