Fill out the consent form that is linked on that page (PA is section A, Sponsor Section C; sign and date), then have the sponsor submit the request as a Privacy Act request.

Privacy Act requests are for "Residents" (Temporary/Workers are residents :) ). ATIP is $5 for those overseas...

Only lurking...making sure everything is in order -- so far it seems to be for the most part... I'll keep my eye out to make sure you land (btw -- they really need to schedule that), and that nothing comes off the rails...

yes, 5$ if you do it under the "access to information act", but you can also request them via the privacy act, which is free when done from within Canada.
So to request them, go to: https://atip-aiprp.apps.gc.ca/atip/welcome.do?lang=en
You have to 2 separate requests, one with the sponsor information, one with the principal applicant information.
First you choose the department: Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
For the first step, you have to identify yourself (name, address, phone, email,...)
On the next step, this is where you choose between the Privacy act (free) or the access to information act (5$), so choose the privacy act.
Then, just follow the steps.
You will receive them 30 days after request, but the information on what you receive with as it was the day of the request.

I appreciate it this a lot. Thank you! and is there a difference? I mean if one's free why would anyone choose the other. Just asking logically.

yes.... 7 weeks today since DM, and still no appointment. But one more week before they reach the timeline CIC told us, so we are waiting until next Tuesday before trying to contact them.

I had a request for a new medical despite sending one in upfront. Even though the medical was expired by about a month by the time they sent the request, I was sure that they would be able to accept it. I wrote a CSE and attached the existing medical and an explanation letter. Did not get a response. CIC phone agents weren't able to offer any guidance (except for saying that nobody had read my CSE yet). The 30 day window they requested the new medical also had expired and I hadn't heard anything from CIC.

But, as it turns out, I made the right choice and they must have looked at and accepted my medical all along because they just sent me a landing letter. Landing next week. Awesome, saved a couple hundred dollars on a useless medical.

@sylvain1: Well, you have the patience of a saint. It was killing me..

@dominicantiguan: Thanks man. I am not really here, I am lurking to make sure nothing comes off the rails. Don't like the new board, at all. Anyway, uploading that consent form will allow you to make one request to get the notes as a single file.

@polarvolcano: Congrats. We just complied. Might as well, and by doing so, they already landed us.

I never did the way profiler did. I always did two separates applications. But as you also request for yourself, I would say it's on your behalf.

If you are submitted the way I suggested, and you have the completed consent form, fill out the request as the sponsor would...

So, yes, you are making the request on your own behalf (as opposed to another organization)...

Thank you, will do.. and last question hopefully..

*Which specific information are you looking for?

Did you know that IRCC can easily obtain the electronic notes of the immigration or citizenship officer(s)? It can result in a faster response to your request.

1. telectronic notes of the immigration or citizenship office
or 2.the application, supporting documents and correspondent sent... UGH

1.
And "GCMS Notes"

If you also want to see medical notes, if you completed the medical and passed, you can also request "Medical Officer Notes" as well.
