Not to say anything but from what i see there are many representatives that are suppose to take care and make sure we have strong applications but unfortunately all they care about is money. Really sad

guys so after waiting close to 5months now for my OWP , my rep got an email from CIC yesterday requesting copy of my passport to continue my application for OWP before 03/20/17.I dont knw if this information was not sent by my rep or it was misplaced by cic...just wondering now how long more i have to wait again after they receive this information...frustrated

i suggest you do ask your rep to forward you the email and you can see the husband rep forewarded his email.that was received for request of relationship proof to continue his permanent resident application on Monday March 6,2017 could be rep or cic i found out about husband pcc when I checked ecase on June 2016 and she was like she got it on June 23 when request was June 15 I suggest you call cic and see when it was requested

Your rep didn't photocopy your passport and include a copy in both the OWP and the PR applications?

For a while I considered doing the courses for certification to be an immigration consultant (as a fun/side gig). Yeah, not happening. Ever. Like helping people. But the reputation is terrible.

They emailed me the copy of the letter from cic and it was dated March 6th. All my information was scanned and emailed to my rep ..all I can do now is have them submit the passport info again ...because I really need my own asap...our case is so straight forward and the only reason I chose to pay for a rep was because I wanted everything to be submitted perfect and then this happened ...smh

It's kind of incredible that such a core and required piece of documentation was "overlooked". I know in our case, we did get a PCC request in error. CIC was still "processing" (scanning the paper docs into GCMS), so the system sent a batch message demanding a PCC that we had already submitted. When I called about the letter, they had no idea where it came from. We submitted a new one anyway, but it just highlights the potential that, they could have sent the request in error as well (so, don't hate the rep just yet -- but be ready to invoke it, just in case!).

Definitely send it in.

Yeah, not happening. Sorry.

It's easy enough to do up and automate the paperwork. Also to get the certification. But I have long decided to not bother. There is nothing that is attractive to me about it anymore. Not worth the money investment to get the certification.

Even if I did it, the industry is inundated with frauds. Immediately, you are swimming upstream in the sh*t creek with nothing more than stumps for hands.

This is just an update in the system. They haven't start to assess your eligibility (The next step is to review your eligibility), so you don't have AIP yet. It is normal that they write "you do not need an interview", because they haven't assess whether your relationship is genuine or not. They are processing your background check but it can stay with this status for a while. Our myCiC account shows the same status as yours.
