Congrats on the oath! Just wanted to ask: the only email needed for you to attend the ceremony is just the Notice To Appear email right? I suppose the e-certificate download instruction email isn’t necessary, is that the case? Dows the e-certificate download instructions contain anything specific to applicants or it is just standard?

thanks!
It does contain a unique invite code etc, but it's not needed to attend the ceremony. They usually ask you anyways if you want e-certificate or paper and if you say e-certificate they ask you if you've received the email and if not they can send you.

Today, I emailed the Niagara office to inquire about my and my family's oath ceremony. My husband needs to plan a work trip, and I requested information about whether we'll have the ceremony within the next month. This is the answer:
"Thank you for your email. You and your family have been scheduled for a ceremony in less than a month, you will be receiving the invitations with more information regarding the ceremony closer the scheduled date.

We advise not to make travel plans until you have attended the oath ceremony and your application has been closed.
Ensure you are monitoring your inbox and junk mail for your invitation."

Two hours after that email I received the letter with the instructions on how to download the e-certificate. The Citizenship ceremony has not not started yet.

I have already got my oath email November 23 and today November 24 my e-certificate download instruction email. My oath ceremony is Dec 1st as well.

Maybe reach out to them Monday if not received over the weekend!

A couple questions.
1. What’s the email address we get the instructions to download the certificate from?

2. Is there a gap between the actual LPP update and the date you see it on your status page?

I guess for people who are getting their responses soon, they might not have travel history or have not left Canada during the 3yr period, so there’s nothing much for them to check.
I am still waiting on my LPP to clear. There is no update after the October 27 GU, and I have travelled to the US frequently. Maybe that’s taking time for them to review with IRCC and CBP.
Never know, each case is different.

I have seen a few people from Vancouver officer got updates on their files whereas mine absolutely stand still. If anybody could throw any light on LPP delay?

Hey everyone, I had my oath ceremony a few days ago. Very easy and straightforward. I would just like to share my experience with certain anomalies that will hopefully put some nerves at ease for someone else facing the same.
1) I never received the instructions email with the code to create a portal account. But you still have 2 options. you can either go to this link and request a code to create your portal account
https://ircc.canada.ca/visit-visiter/en/get-account-ircc-portal
Or
The agent registering you before the ceremony will ask you if you have received the email, and if not, they can send it to you.

2) For those wishing to switch their certificate from paper to electronic, this can also easily be requested during the registration for oath ceremony.

Best of luck to everyone else.

I don't think it's related. They already have a list of your entries and exits, they just have to compare against what you declared in your application. It's really no big deal and doesn't delay the process.

In my case, I had multiple trips abroad after becoming PR. That does not cause any delays. It mainly depends on your processing office. It also depends on when you applied. There are a lot of horror stories of people who applied in 2022 and still waiting for LPP.
