This is a very painful request as I have been so much pained not to have any clue what is happening to my prtd application that I applied in mid August, 2022.

Please guide me or provide feedback if anybody has the experience of applying for prtd on the same h & c ground and how much time did they take to get it.

Many thanks.

Can do nothing after your prtd application only wait for IRCC's response. But if you can have a US visa, just simply fly to US and go through land entry. You will be let in and face much quicker response.

Good suggestion, but...

If the PRTD is being delayed because IRCC has determined that it will not be approved, the OP could face problems with CBSA if entering at a land PoE, which could lead to PR staus being revoked.

It's better to appeal within Canada than overseas...much more possibility with legal support and help from local counsellor...

This is the first response anywhere I have received about my pathetic situation. Hearty thanks. Is it possible to enter with an expired card to enter? How much time will it take to procure a US visa?

I am raising webforms and the agents and sometimes another person with just ircc identity without any name reply that we have received your documents and it's under process.

Though my portal status indicate ' submitted' status. Why are they taking so much time to refuse. even No file number is generated and they say it's in process its excruciatingly painful. I sacrificed my life and career to take care of my mother. Feels very bad

If they have determined it will not be approved then why cant they convey? What is OP?

Many thanks.

Also why then they say it's in process.
They should just stop replying. The consultant took so much money and not guiding properly. I hope you understand my brain freeze.

Please anybody having heard of a recent h & c case being approved, delayed or not approved.

Many thanks for your kind guidance.

There is no timeline when it comes to processing PRTD based on H&C. It is not unusual for it to take 6+ months. When did you become a PR and how much time have you spent in Canada? How much time have you spent in Canada during the past 5 years?

Many thanks for your crisp and non confusing reply. I became PR in 2001. I left Canada july 2016 as my mother was almost dead and I had to rush back. Also, my wife was pregnant and expecting and taking care of my mother. My mother improved after I reached there. And seeing my newborn girl also she became enthusiastic.

My pr card was valid till feb 2021 so I took care of my mother. She improved. I attempted going back in Feb 2021 my ticket and hotel for quarantine etc ( COVID guidelines) wwere all lined up. I could not board plane as because of stress I did a mistake in misinterpreting my pr card expiry. I thought it is valid till last feb, 2021. But it was valid till 21 feb 2021.

I documented everything in my h & c application.

Is your spouse a PR? Why had you not applied for citizenship? How much time had you spent in Canada between 2001 and 2016?

I married very late as I wanted to remain single. My wife is not PR. There is no reason why I didn't take citizen ship as things were moving. But if I get my prtd this time the first thing I will do is apply for my citizenship. I have got my life lesson. Life is very unpredictable.

I almost lived around 10 years in canada .

Many thanks for your reply and guidance. It really helps.

Why are they saying it's in process and your required documents are all with us.

Lots of people don't apply for citizenship. My brother arrived when he was 12 and didn't apply for citizenship until he was 62. My wife is eligible, but doing so would require her to give up citizenship in her home country, an extremely emotional, difficult and complicated decision.

Less than 50% PRs applied for citizenship for the passing 15 years, compared with 75% of PRs applied citizenship before it. This could make PR card renewal more difficult because the government doesn't want PRs to still be PRs...
