Hello,

I am from Germany and in Canada on a Working Holiday visa right now, which expires on the 15th of February 2013. I started working full-time for an employer last month as a "Bilingual Customer Service Representative". I have a degree in English, so not an actual "profession" as such, which makes it a bit hard to figure out what I qualify for.

The other problem is that the "Young Professionals" visa will only be released approximately in mid January, so cutting it quite short with the end of my current visa. I am thoroughly confused with all the different options on the government website, so was hoping to speak to someone in person, but unfortunately the Vancouver immigration office is no longer open.

I am thankful for any kind of help!!

You can only apply for a work permit if your employer can obtain an approved LMO (labour market opinion). Do you know if your employer is willing to apply for an LMO? If not, then this cancels out the work permit as an option.

Is it technically possible to apply for both the Young Pro visa and the work permit at the same time?

Yes, but CHC will only issue one and refuse the other (if eligible)
