I am a foreign worker with open work permit valid for 3 years. I have a background and experience in technical services (IT/ ITeS) & financial industries. I just graduated in medical engineering from Ontario. I'm considering to move to Yellowknife. Is the NWT PNP worth pursuing? Are there many job opportunities and companies up there in the above industries?
Just wanted to get a feel before I go in that direction.

Thanks so much in advance!

For the first time in 2 years someone is talking about that. Population density is 5 to 6 kilometer per human being. Neglected area.
As well as Youkon.

I am living in Yellowknife. Honestly saying NWT PNP is one of the toughest and too much paper work. Here recent rule changed happened. Before it was 6 months. Now 1 year. and Its employer driven stream .Employer is submitting your application behalf of you. so simply everything depends on the employer. Here less than 10% chances to find job in your field/employer. 2 years before was big rush moving people from another province to here. Now everything is no more. I would say Yellowknife is not a good option to move even for NTNP/ Field job. and one of the expensive place in canada and not worth it. Why don't you try Saskatchewan?
good luck
