I got accepted in algonquin college 1 year program post graduate certificate, i think i will be issued a 9 months or 12 pgwp thing is i calculated my points it wont work for fsw program neither the cec program because my visa will not get 12 months straight being employed after graduating at the moment.

So i'm counting on pnp of ontario i should find a job in noc 0,A,B with a company that makes revenue at least 500,000$ a year and be lucky to pass the 2500 quota

do you think this can happen or i should go to alberta or sask??

Thanks in advance

well the 2500 quota of ontario pnp you are referring to is the international masters pilot category for which you need to have a masters degree from ontario not a post graduate certificate or diploma.

alberta has increased their processing time to 8-12 months on june 5th so that wont be a safer bet too and they have a cap of 5500 for this year.

sask has a cap of 175 to 200 students a year from outer province so that doesnt sound like a plan either.

applying cec u need to have min one year of exp by which ur work permit would expire and if your employer doesnt give u lmo ul have to return. so another risk again.

nutshell is if ur still picking a 1 year program be prepared to pick another one at the end of this first course so u can secure a 3 years pgwp or directly go for a 2 year program.

a 2 year diploma would cost u the same as a masters program so y not go for masters is also something u should be thinking about.

cheers

Thanks for the help propain,

i wonder what is the quota for international graduates with job offer then in ontario?

and what about manitoba and nova scotia * ns just relaunched the stream for international graduates

i tried looking for MA but my grades in the bachelor weren't that good which i can't get accepted to an MA

but those provinces have less jobs so its not too stable an option.

the big provinces are the ones which would have continuous demand so by the time u graduate things might be again different.

What do you think i should do? i think i'm trapped and no way to pass that for the pr, another question what do you the MA will offer?

pick a masters program of your interest in ontario.

at the moment they have the pilot program and its cheaper for students.

who knows the pilot program could continue for another 5 years or it could close soon too.

don't you think a post grad certificate would work towards the pnp? in ontario

with a one year pgd its tough but not impossible.

would it be safer if i plan to move to nova scotia or alberta after? i'm really stressed and it seems a dead end which i'm not sure what way i should path

I wouldnt say its a sound plan.

others might have different opinions.
