Q1:
I am a full-time phd student in Canada; I have a valid study permit and post-graduate work-permit now. I have been working as TA and RA in the same institution of my PhD. Would that work experience qualified for the immigration application?
Q2:
Because I can work legally outside the campus with my PGWP and I hope that I can gain enough Canadian skilled work experience for immigration, I am working in a firm which is not related with my study.
Because the PhD study is unique which does not require coursework only, I always work on the workdays and study on my research after work or at the weekends.
Would that work experience qualified for the immigration application?
Comments:
Because there is no PhD stream anymore, it is hardly to find an approach to submit the PR application according to the current policy. PNP is not available for PhD case in our province. With a language test scores (CLB:10+) and degree in Canada, I still cannot get a chance for immigration. (despite the IRCC changes after Nov 2016).
