Would I get a letter from CIC?

I sent my spouse application to Mississauga on April 20, 2013 by POST Canada express and they received it on April 23, 2013. My question is would I get any letter from them that we received your application or any progress? If yes when should I expect one?

Either an email or an actual letter !

With it you will receive your application number and you will be able to log into Ecas a few days after receiving it!
