Hey,
I was wondering whether I would be able to immigrate to Toronto, Ontario.
I've almost finished doing my A-Levels in London, UK (so have almost finished secondary school) and was planning to acheive a diploma in Audio Engineering afterwards for one year in also in London as well. If I secure a job in Toronto before applying for a visa would I be able to immigrate or not? What sort of visa(s) would I need to live and work there? Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but I really don't know much about the whole immigration process.
Thanks!
Katie

If you get a job offer, the employer needs to apply for a labour market opinion and if they get it, you can apply for a work permit. A work permit would be the first stage in applying for your immigration. You could for example come to Canada on a work permit, work for a year and then apply for your permanent residency under Canadian experience class. It has to be a skilled job though.
