I initially started my application for common-law sponsorship back in June, 2012, through the States. In January of this year, I received a request for initial documents (RCMP records check and Right To Permanent Residency fee), which I completed and sent in the documents late January of this year. Since then it's just been a waiting game, as usual.
Today I received an e-mail requesting payment of the right to permanent residency fee, and that the original request for this document was e-mailed to me on Feb 11, 2013, and that this was the last time they would be requesting it.
I'm seriously confused because 1.) I paid the fee, and submitted the receipt. 2.) I never received another request in Feb, there's absolutely nothing from them in my inbox, junk box, nothing. I've received e-mails from them before, but never another one requesting proof of payment. So it can't be that they had the wrong e-mail address. 3.) Is it a typical occurrence that they lose documents? I'm seriously lost here.
I'm glad I kept copies, and I can easily resubmit, I'm just annoyed that it's going to add even more time to processing my application.
