Hi,

I have a valid PR and have a potential scenario where an employment consultancy is trying to place me at a US client.
The problem here is consultancy manager wants to know what should I be represented to the Client? As an independent contractor?
As I don't have a H1 visa employee-employer relationship is ruled out.

If there's someone who was in similar situation your help is invaluable :)

Yes you can be a consultant. A few ways to do this. You’ll need to talk to an accountant to see what is best for you. Lots of similar posts in the US moving to Canada section.

Just rereading this. Your situation is more complicated because you want to work as as an independent contractor to a consulting company not just working on contract for an employer.
