Dear all,

If I stayed in Canada for a few months and during this period I was still employed by a foreign company, does the period count towards citizenship?

I am currently a PR but I am curious about if I am allowed to work for an foreign company while staying in Canada. Correct me if I am wrong, I believe that for PR renewal application, they do not care if you want for a foreign company while staying in Canada, because PR renewal only cares about 'physically presence'. However, for citizenship application, I think they are concerned whether I both 'physically presence' AND 'live' in Canada. That may mean that I could not work for a foreign company while I am 'living' in Canada.

Thank you for your insight!

Thanks, but I am talking about physical presence in Canada while still working full-time for a foreign company, which situated outside Canada. Does Canadian citizenship require only 'physical Presence' wiihout 'live and work in Canada'?

It requires physical presence (i.e., you must be living in Canada). You can work for whomever you want, or not even work for that matter. So long as you are living here, you will be a tax resident and you will be contributing to the country.
