yes you can apply for a visit visa (trv) anytime you want to and many people do it for the purpose to see canada (tourisum) , visit family members, etc etc. To apply and to make your case stronger you need to understand the basics which are:-
1) a visit visa (trv) cannot be sponsored in simple terms it means no one in canada can sponsor a visit visa. sponsorship visa are all they way a different category (e.g spousal sponsor, parents sponsorship) and they all belong to family class cases in which the applicant is issued a Permanent resident status (i.e to live in canada permanently).
2) a visit visa (TRV) has its own merits which are all linked to the main applicant. i.e
- the financial situation of the applicant
- the ties of the applicant to his home country or where he is residing
- the reason of the applicant to visit canada.
So the rule of thumb is that the applicant himself will be accessed/examined not the person who he is going to visiting.
- in short apply with your own strong documents and you will get your visa. yes your uncle's invitation letter may help you to prove where you are going to live and you will be having food and shelter in canada which obviously will reflect an affordable vacation which can be within your budget.
- just an advice ...have a good travel history to make your case stronger.
