Working in Canada while in sponsor process

Can my wife work in Canada while her application is in process?
Her work is thru the internet, she is not getting paid in Canada, can she continue her internet work?
Does she pass any law?

Grey area. She is technically not really working in Canada, she is working in whatever country she gets paid in. As long as you don't tell, nobody will even know.
