Hi, all

Just seeking some advice!

I am currently on a working holiday visa in Canada as an Australian Citizen. I have about a year left. I love it here and thinking about extended if it is possible.

I applied for the Visa before the change was made and now we are only allowed 1 x 2 year visa. Because this new rule has come to affect in the interim of my visa term - Do all Australians in the same boat get to apply for another 2 years?

Please help

You are not eligible for a visa, Australia is a visa-exempt country.

So, what is exactly what you want to get? What new rule?

I would just like to know if we can apply for another visa.

Prior to the change, Australians were able to re-apply as long as your are under the age of 30.

Now I believe we only get 1 two year visa

You don't seem to have read / understood the question.

The OP was asking about Working Holiday Visas (IECs). Australians certainly qualify for these (they are one of the few countries that do).

OP - Yes, based on how the rules are written, I believe you can participate once more for a two year period. At least that's my understanding of the rules.

Ok. Thanks for you help.

I was doing a little research to see if I am allowed to apply for another two years.

Do you know how I can do this?

What do you mean by "how I can do this"? If you're asking about extending - you can't extend the visa you have now. You have to apply for a new IEC from scratch.

If that is the case then OP needs to post this in the correct forum:

(Wrongly assumed visa was for visitor visa, thanks for clarifying).
