Hi all, I'm currently working for a Canadian company here in Canada on a year long working holiday visa. The company I work for want to hire me permantly via express entry. What steps does my employer need to take to do this? Most importantly do they need an LMIA ? I'm assuming they do.

Express Entry is based on how many points you have. The higher your points - the more likely you will be selected under express entry. Have you calculated how many points you have? If not - this should be one of your first steps. Have you taken a language test like IELTS? If not - get working on that, you can't apply without taking the test first. Have you had your education evaluated yet (assuming you didn't complete your education in Canada)? If not - that's something else you need to get working on.

If your employer can get an LMIA, this will give you an extra 600 points and pretty much guarantee selection under Express Entry. Note that it can take a number of months to complete the LMIA process - so probably a good idea to start now (they'll need to start by meeting the advertising requirement).

Sorry I forgot to mention that I have a completed EE profile with 441 points. Thanks for the help.
