Working Holiday Program now includes Taiwan

Effective July 1, 2010, Immigration Canada has recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Taiwan for the working holiday scheme.
Young people between the ages of 18 and 35 from Taiwan are now able to apply for a temporary Canadian work visa that would allow them to obtain employment while vacationing in Canada.
The agreement also reciprocates the same privileges for young Canadian visiting Taiwan.
There are hopes that the inclusion of Taiwan in the working holiday program will act as an incentive for more people from Taiwan to not only visit, but make Canada their permanent home.
