Hi everyone,

Does anyone know what the requirements are for working full-time during summer months as an international student?

I received my study permit for an undergraduate program and arrived in Canada. Instead of taking classes during the summer term, is it possible to work full-time during summer and start the course load in the fall term?

Thanks for the help

during summer you can work full-time up to 4o hours; however, sometimes the CIC puts some restrictions on a study permit so check your study permit what it says, if nothing prohibited then you can work full time during summer, and during school year up to 20 hrs. good luck!

Hi

Any work done before you actually start your studies is illegal. You can't defer the start of your program to work.
