Hi I am working from Pakistan for UK based company which hosts conferences in different parts of the world every year. I have attended such conferences in UK, USA, France, Hong Kong etc.

I have invitation letter for the conference and a letter from my UK employer for visa support describing my role in the company, annual compensation and requirement to attend this conference.

I have started online application process. My questions are:

As my employer who is hosting this conference in Canada is not a Canadian company should I still apply for a business visa. If yes what should I write under the requirement for name and address of contact person in Canada.

Also business visa documents sections does not have a Proof of means section. In this case where should i put my financial documents like bank letters, statements and other proof of means documentation.

I have given this forum a good read and I really appreciate the help members are providing each other.

Thanks you all in advance.

These conferences are considered as business visits = Business TRV

You must combine all documents and evidence that can't be uploaded to any specific section into a single PDF.... and upload this PDF to the Letter of explanation/optional section

Hi Bryanna,

Thank you so much for your quick response.

Canadian co-organizer

I request further clarification as there is no Canadian co-organizer. The conference has sponsors which are different companies and It is being hosted at a hotel in Vancouver. Writing hotel information will be enough in that case?

Just to further elaborate on how these conferences are organized is that a events management team from UK flies to the venue a few days before the start and prepares the venue for the event. There is no local company involved at all. My company has most of its employees spread around the world and they hold these events to let them meet and discuss topics of business interest.
