Hi. I acquired my work visa for Canada in November 2014 and is valid till November 2016 which is over a year away. I worked in Canada over the winter season. I returned to Australia and I am still currently in Australia. However I am looking at returning this coming November. As I have a valid work visa will I be allowed to re-enter or do I have to do something else? Any help would be great.

I've left and re-entered Canada many times on my IEC visa, you shouldn't have any problems. When they ask you what your reason for coming to Canada is just tell them you have a work permit, they'll ask to see it. I'd make sure that you have travel insurance as this is a condition of the IEC visa and they may ask to see it.

Thank you so much. I have been trying to verify for ages if this possible. So happy to see it is. The cic website gives very conflicting.minformation. Thanks again.

Hi, is this true? My 1st work permit was applied for from outside of Canada, and in addition to the work permit, I also got a visa to enter Canada.
I just recently extended the work permit, and it clearly stated: "this doesn't authorize re-entry". Therefore, I'm now applying for a visitor visa, in which you have to pay $100. That's what I understand.
Please advise.
