Work Permits

Only older work permits it states the permit is only good for me for the location that its issued to. The latest one I got doesn't make this disclaimer. Does it mean I can work anywhere under this permit, did rules change?

It does state the workplace so I'm guessing I would have to have a new work permit created and this one terminated which likely is a painful process.

Your work permit is tied to your current employer. If you wish to work for someone else then you need a new LMO and then a new work permit.

wsongco,, my work permit is expiring on Oct 3 and im renewing it online today and it will take 54days to get the new work permit..Is it safe(legal) to work after Oct.3 under implied status?pls let me know?? and do I need to have a new LMO & contract with the same employer?

If you submitted your PR/OWP application you have options to wait for your open wp bec your under implied status.
