Hi Is it feasible to apply for a Work Permit, while in the Express Entry Pool, as an alternative way to get into Canada, and then increase one's points by getting Canadian work experience, and can one then still receive an ITA for permanent residency while working in Canada in this case, or would one have to go back to country of origin first once the work permit expires? Also, what does it entail to get a Work Permit? Tx

Yes - it's feasible.

To qualify to apply for a work permit you first need to secure a full time job offer in Canada and your employer in Canada has to obtain an approved LMIA. Once you have these things, you can apply for a closed work permit tied to that specific employer.

It's typically extremely difficult to find employers willing to go through the LMIA process.
