Work permit whilst applying for sponsorship under family class outside canada

Hi,

Some facts ..

My common law spouse in Canadian by birth
I am British
We are both living together in Ireland.
We are moving to Cobourg, Ontario
We are in the process of sponsorship under the family class whilst in Ireland.

I am trying to find out at which point I can get an open work permit to work in Canada. I have heard that this is possible after stage 1. of the sponsorship is completed (currently 91 days)? Is this the case or do I have to wait until stage 2. is complete also (currently +7 months)?

I am currently working in Ireland but we are looking to move to Canada asap, however I can't do this until I am legally able to work in Canada.

Your help would be appreciated .

If you apply outland, you cannot apply for an open work permit.
This only applies to Inland.
You could go down the LMO route, but easier said than done
