Hey Guys..

I have a question and would love someone to help me here as I do not trust the immigration agencies..

What if I have temporary work permit...(I can arrange for one)

1) What would be the process to apply PR.
2)Is it gonna be through Express entry program.

Thanks in advance

Do you have an approved LMIA from your employer? You need an approved LMIA if you want the job to be of any help in applying for Express Entry. Also, the job must be NOC A, B or 0 - and the employer must be willing to offer you a permanent job.

It's not necessary to have a permanent LMIA approved job, although it helps a lot (gives you +600 additional points). With very good education, age and great language tests you can get an ITA after 1 year of Canadian work experience under CEC.

Thank you for the help...

If I understand you correctly..... Even if I have a TWP , I can apply for PR under express entry after 1 year and the Canadian experience will fetch me more points

Thanks

Yes.

But if you already have LMIA/LMO based WP, the 600 points will guarantee you ITA and eventually PR, provided you qualify FSW/FST/CEC in the first place

Yes. Try this CIC tool http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/immigrate/skilled/crs-tool.asp to compute your CRS points using various scenarios. Make sure that you choose "No permanent job/job offer" if you don't have an LMIA.
