Work permit timelines

Hi,
I’m currently working in US and my visa is about to expire in a month. My employer wants to release a job offer in Toronto. I have some questions on processing the work permit.
- I’m working for the current employer for 10 months and won’t be able to complete 1 year before US visa expires. Will I be able to process intro company transfer? Or in which category I can apply for work permit? Will I be LIMA exempt?
- How long will it take to get the work permit either intra company transfer or express pool?

No - you won't qualify for an intra company transfer. An ICT requires you do have worked for your employer for at least one full years. Unfortunately there is no LMIA exempt option available to you. If you want to work in Canada, your employer will need to obtain an approved LMIA before you can apply for a work permit.

I'm not sure I understand your last question about getting a work permit through "express pool".

I came across Express entry program and that is what I was mentioning.
Do you have any timeline how long it would take to obtain the work permit once I receive the offer ? Is there any premium options available to expedite the process?

Express Entry is an immigration program. There is no work permit available through Express Entry unless you are already working in Canada on a valid work permit.

Again, a job offer is not sufficient to get a work permit. The employer needs to also obtain an approved LMIA. This is typically a 4-6 month process.
