Hello all,

I need your help or better advice. I'm an international student who applied for post graduated work permit but it was refused. My program was 2 years long but due to financial problems in regards to my parents healthI had to take semesters off from school just to work and save up then go back to school
It took me extra 2 years to graduate. Now I am out of status and according to the immigration letter I have 90days to restor my status.

My question :
1. Has anyone here been in a similar situation and how did you solve it.

2. Do i need to request for a Gcms note in regards to this?

1. You were correctly refused for a PGWP. You could apply for Restoration as a visitor but will not be allowed to work. Your other option is to leave Canada.

2. Requesting GCMS notes isn't going to do anything. You know exactly why it was refused.

I agree with the comment above. You were correctly refused - you don't qualify for a PGWP because your studies were not continuous and you took a break. If you want to remain in Canada and work, you'll need to secure a job offer and your employer will need to obtain an approved LMIA so that you can apply for a closed work permit tied to that specific employer.
