Hi guys ,

I am looking for some advice . I have received my work permit recently , before that I received the ITA . My question is , I am planning to travel to Canada soon .

1. Can I submit the form for ITA now ( keeping every thing as it like country of residence as my home country).
2. Do I need to wait as my country of residence will change in few weeks .
3. Do I need to update CIC (LOE) for change in country of residence if I follow point 1. Does it really needed .

Any other advice on this type of situation to fill the PR form .

As far as I understand, the country of residence shouldn't change as you'll have to spend a minimum of 183 days in any country to be deemed its resident. In case your ITA and document submission process happens before that, I don't think you need to worry about changing your country of residence in your application.

Thanks for your reply , I believe in my case I don't need to add LOE for same . However , I was concern at the step of sending the passport for final step of PR , if it may has impact on the same .

Good catch - in case you are planning to travel, then you might want to submit passport to CIC well in time so that they can stamp your immigrant visa and send you the passport back so that you don't have to alter your travel plans.

1. You can submit now and there is no issue if you are changing the country of residence later.
2. No need to wait.
3. Yes you have to mention the change in the country of residence to CIC, after you shift to Canada, using the IRCC Webform and not during the application (LOE).
Country of residence needs to be updated, as this enables them to send your PPR from the respective country VO and ask you to submit your passports to that respective VO.
