I am an international student in Canada and will be done with my Masters in August 2017. I have started applying to several jobs and have been called for interviews. However, I am not sure if I can start to work (assuming I got the job) even if I don't have the Post Graduation Work Permit. I am not clear with the difference between a regular work permit and the PGWP. In the study permit, it says that I can work off-campus and don't need a work permit to start working, which is why I am not sure if I need to apply for PGWP if I want to officially start working at an organization. Who applies for PGWP then? Can someone please help me with this query? Thanks.
