Just new here, just want to ask if how long will it take for a work permit to process of new employer applied inside Canada because my wife send it to CIC through courier on June 11, 2012? Shes applying a live in caregiver. My wife had a difficult life in Canada because she got there through LCP and work with a relative. She work with her relative for just one and a half months because her relative is very cruel. She quit and unfortunately in one year she have no luck finding a job and when she finally found a job, She was denied of an LMO at first due to incomplete requirements given by her employer and waited for three months for that. Now she got her LMO and applied work permit on June 11, 2012 through courier. One year have been wasted but shes still hoping to be successful in Canada for our family. She is still living with a true found friend until she land a job. Shes already ashamed with her friend because shes living there for a year now but nothing she can do. That friend is really a blessing to her. Now, shes worried because her work permit will expire on september 17,2012 and until now theres no news or letter regarding her work permit. Is it okay if you call the CIC call center just for updates for the said application? She really dont want to waste all her sacrifice and result into nothing because she knows its worh it. Shes also worried that maybe she will be refuse of a work permit due to long months or a year she did not land a job. Will it affect the outcome of her work permit? Pls help anybody?
