Hello, I am in Canada as a visitor. I am currently living with my boyfriend who is Canadian citizen.
There is an employer who is going to apply for LMIA number in order to hire me in future.
If they get approved and give me the contract can I apply from within Canada? And how?
I did not need Visa when I entered Canada. Thank you

If your employer is able to get an approved LMIA, it would be best if your apply for your work permit from your home country where you can demonstrate your strong ties

I had no idea I had to prove ties to my home country. That will be difficult. Thanks for answering.

If you and your boyfriend are considering taking your relationship to the next level.... either as common-law or by getting married.... then you may want to consider applying for an extension about a month before your current visitor status expires. You can state your intentions to become common-law/marriage in your application to extend your stay.

Once you're able to prove that you're common-law/married, you can file for PR under the Family Class sponsorship + submit an Open Work Permit application.... through the inland route

We already thought about applying trough Family Class sponsorship as common law partners but we are not sure if it's the best way to go. We are together for 3 years and few months. We lived together in Europe for few months at the time. And in Canada for 6 months last year. Never a year continuously. Don't really have any proof of that except joint savinga account here in Canada. Should we fill out declaration of common law? I would like to work because there is an employer who is willing to give me job and LMIA and i thought it is a better way to go but i am not sure anymore. I don't wanna get rejected and not be abl

I believe sponsorship as common-law would be a far easier option as compared to going through the employer-LMIA-WP process,

You may want to consider building up evidence over the next few months to support your PR application
