Work Permit Extension

Hi All,

I has applied for work permit extension (for a period 4 month) since April 2022 and till now I did not hear any thing from IRCC and I tried to contacted them but there is no response either by calling or e-mails.

Also I got new job offer from another employer.

my questions is, Could I apply for another work permit extension and I did not receive decision for the first one?
if I start the process of the second extension could I start working for the second employer?
How I Could contact IRCC in Ontario?

I know my case is complicated but as we know this is exceptional time for IRCC to the delay in processing.

How are you eligible for an extension? PGWP? Closed/LMIA?

in my case no need for LMIA, and It closed work permit but during the extension I will be implied status where I could work until approval (if you work to the same employer)

You need to apply for a new closed work permit if you want to work for a different employer. It's not an extension, it's a new work permit.

Thanks for reply, I noticed that I could use webform to change any information like changing the employer, specially I did not receive decision to my first extension and still in processing.

So when you applied for the first extension, were you changing employers at that time? If you did change employers then you needed a new work permit with an approved LMIA.
