Work Permit Extension Within Canada.

I have applied for a work permit extension on 31st May 2021 and for the last 3 weeks, IRCC status says they are working on the app received between 1 May 2021 to 8 May 2021. Like how long do they take to complete applications received in one week? For the last 3 weeks, they are working on applications received in just one week, with that pace it will take them 16 weeks to reach my file and my WP is getting expired on 4 Sep 2021. I am so confused now.

Do u know anything about ohip renewal ? My work expires on April 18 .since processing time is 4 months I will get it only after may . Can we show extension application letter for renewal?

Nope, you need a valid extended WP for OHIP
