I'm on Implied status as of today due to a lost passport situation last year. My work status was expiring in April and then my employer filed for an extension in the work permit(A law firm is taking care of my case and in my work permit I have a representative representing my application). My work permit extensions got approved but due to COVID IRCC has not yet sent the work permit to me.
Now, my employer is recommending me to file a parallel new work permit citing a stolen/lost work permit.
In October however, I filed for PR and it's in progress for the last 3 months.
Since all these applications use the same UCI(Unique Client Identified), I'm a bit worried if I go for the new work permit, the representative who is representing my application (on behalf of my employer) will have access to information on my PR application as well.
As I work in Quebec, My employer won't be happy knowing I have filed Express Entry already. I may get terminated from the job If they get to know about my PR application.
Kindly suggest what actions I should take here.
