work permit expires before ITA

Hi everyone, My work permit is about to expire. i have not got any ITA because my points are not meeting the cut off score. Do i need to leave the country ? what if i leave the country and then i gets ITA in coming months. would i be still eligible to apply . ?

You must either leave Canada or convert your status to visitor and stop working. Yes - you can still apply from outside of Canada when you get ITA.
