Work Permit expires as I was invited to apply for CEC

Hi all,

I have a quick question regarding my current situation. I was invited to apply for PR on the day that my IEC visa expired. I have applied to stay in the country as a visitor, so I am unable to work and have lost my status as a worker. But I was wondering how I will be able to work once I send my CEC application away (which I am doing ASAP). Will I have to apply to restore my status as a worker, or will I be eligible to apply for a bridging open work permit?

The BOWP requires that you be in status as a worker when you apply. I don't think you can do either - restore as a worker or apply for a BOWP.
