So, Hey

My work permit expired last year November and on consulting with a immigration i was told that i would not get a next post graduate work permit so i can always apply to change my permit in which i would fall under implied status and i can continue working until my application had been processed. On current calls to the office i was told that i was under implied status and everything was good. I made a call to next immigration lawyer who told me opposite information now i have gotten my PNP and ITA and am in the process of submitting all necessary documents. At this moment I need some help has i do not think the lawyers are aware of the information they are giving applicants. I would like some help with the necessary step i need to take now about my situation.

You'll need to provide complete details. Impossible to answer your question based on the limited information you've provided so far.

What kind of work permit did you have until November? On what date did it expire? What did you apply to change your work permit to and when was your application received by CIC?

Which PNP program did you apply under?

I was on a post graduate work permit, i apply to extend my stay as a visitor and nova scotia provincial nominee

You have implied status as long as CIC recieved your visitor extension application before your PGWP expired. This implied status allows you to remain in Canada - but not work.

You had to stop working as soon as your PGWP expired. If you've continued working since November, you've been working illegally and are in violation of your stay in Canada.

Stop working immediately.

If CIC find out the you have been working all this while, they can deport you.

Guys, I am confused on applying for PR. Do we need to work full time for a year after getting PGWP in order to be eligible for applying PR or we can apply for PR immediately after getting PGWP? and also do we need to take IELTS test in order to prove our english proficiency even after completing 2 years master's program from Canadian University?
