I am hoping to get some help or advise for my current situation. I applied for a renewal of my work permit on June 8th, 2014, because it expired in June 22, 2014. After the processing time of the application has fallen outside the standard processing time on CIC's website, I called to inquire about the delay and status. They said my application has been sent to a special department, and that I need to wait till I am either accepted or rejected, with no promise of a decision due date! In case I am rejected, I stop working immediately and go in a three-month restoration period, where I can apply again only once. Their attitude on the phone left me feeling uncomfortable. I also have PR application in process since 2012.
Any advise on what I should do would be appreciated.
