Hello everyone,
I am a US citizen applying for a work permit. I have an offer letter for a job and an approved LMIA exemption.
Very few gaps in 10 year work history other than 1 year in college.
They did not ask for any medical records, fingerprints, or bank/financial history information.
I submitted my application online June 6th, and got a request for family information on June 15th. I have no relatives in Canada.
Since then they acknowledged having received the family information form, but nothing else on my status has changed.
My potential employers don't seem at all worried and say that every person who's applied from the US or Europe that they've run into was approved in 3 weeks, plus I don't need a visa to get into the country just to be paid...which, while technically true, is no less of a problem for me.
I'm a nervous wreak. Am I just being too impatient or do I have reason to be worried?
