Work permit application with non-convicted charges!!Plz seniors help!!please!

Hello everyone
I have applied for work permit few days ago and i have charged last year and charges were withdrawn. Now i am so worried about my work permit, as i have disclosed everything in my application.
If anybody has any idea if it will affect my application or not? how much time it will take??
Do i need to provide my background check?
Please please please guys post your comments.

But i talked to CIC and they are saying to provide a letter of explanation.

Simple, explain yourself. Explain what you did, how you got charged/convicted (or non convicted) and how you will not be a public risk to Canada.

You can do it yourself and make sure you provide documentation with it, like court documents or anything as proof.
