Thanks, @scylla Could you tell me what is the difference between application procedures for a closed work permit or open work permit? Where I go through the application should I choose that? Should I also write a letter of explanation?
You are applying for a closed work permit tied to a specific employer - not an open work permit.
@scylla I have one more question. I have a study permit application in process. there is no decision on that. I want to withdraw that, and then apply for a work permit for a postdoc? There is a good reason for this change. I think that it is acceptable by IRCC. I should explain the reason. Am I right? Also, would withdrawing a study permit affect my chance of getting the closed work permit?
