I am applying within Canada for my Husbands Permanent Residence as well as a Open Work Permit. How long does it take to receive a response saying the application is being processed and the work permit has been approved?

pretty sure it's taking 4-5 months to receive the OWP. not sure about AOR for inland, as it's not consistent. i'd recommend hanging out in the inland applicant thread to take a look at their spreadsheet and see what the latest "trend" is.

the OP stated they are applying inland ("within canada"). Also, the OWP is only for inland applicants. Outland applicants are not eligible for one. The CIC site is not a great source for determining accurate wait times. they are better off asking in the inland thread...

1. What to choose among these 4 choices given?I want to apply for an open work permit.
IMM5710 E APPLICATION TO CHANGE CONDITIONS, EXTEND MY STAY OR REMAIN IN CANADA AS A WORKER
----question no.3: I am applying for one or more of the ff.
A. A work permit with the same employer
B.Restoration of your work status as a worker
C. An initial work permit or a work permit with a new employer
D. Temporary Resident Permit

I believe you would answer "C"..but read the link info to be sure.
