Hello everybody,

As the title has stated. This is the problem that I have to dealt with at the moment.

Here's a little bit of background.

I graduated in 2013. I applied for PGWP and got approved. My PGWP was valid from 2013 to 09/2015. In 09/2014, I went back to school and graduated recently 2016. My status as a student in Canada will expired in sep 30, 2016.

No. I did not know that PGWP can only be issued once.

So I want to stay and work in Canada. I just got an offer for a full time position, but I doubt that they will agree to do an LMIA for me. Which work permit I should apply for and how to do so?

Also, I am planning on to get married soon. ( He's Canadian ). Would this marriage able to help me to stay and work in Canada? He's still in school and his annual income will not be over 30 k.

Please advise me what is the best option for me to stay in Canada. I do not want to leave the country and come back ( if we ever have to do complete sponsorship application from outside of Canada).

To apply for a regular work permit your employer first needs to obtain an approved LMIA. If your employer isn't willing to do this - no point applying for a regular work permit - it's going to be refused.

Being married to a Canadian does not entitle you to remain or work in Canada. Once you are common law (have lived together for a minimum of one full year) or married - he can apply to sponsor you for PR. If he applies using the inland method and includes an Open Work Permit - the OWP will be approved approximately four months after the application is submitted.

thank you @scylla

Within that 4 month of waiting for OWP to be approved. What would be my status in Canada? Will I still be eligible to work? I have checked all the requirements for inland sponsorship, my fiancee's income for 2015 does not exceed 30,000. He's still in school.

I have heard about the pilot program. Would you know how that works?
